During the movement journey, I began to understand that the necessary next phase of my process was to offer larger expressions of my "Story" to the community of witnesses, and the pieces to be shared started careening out of me. Funny how right at that same time, friends, acquaintances and artists I know started requesting to see what was coming through my dance process. I love synchronicity!
My performance work as well as facilitation style is influenced not only by therapeutic and expressive movement, but also by the lessons I've learned through many different relationships, by being the widowed mother of a fabulous and handicapped boy and by simply living as a human on the planet these days. I am prompted to share through performance by my inclination to continually move into more of my own strength and self acceptance and to inspire others to move further into theirs.
I continue to be grateful for my artistic process which expresses this life passage into stronger integrity, self love and increasingly confident prosperity and generosity.
Quotes for an excerpt of "SaRaw" performed in December, 2004:
"Sarah,
Thank you so much for your extraordinary performance at our event. You and your partner were superb and I heard only positive feedback. Without doubt, you are a natural dancer, full of emotion and dynamism. We encourage you to continue flourishing in this field."
--Naomi Nussbaum, Synergy Foundation
"I felt elated and thrilled for having been there... I felt like I was floating, and all I could say was 'how lucky I was to have been there'. How lucky I have been in anyplace that you invited me to. Joining you in your world means opening oneself up to a higher plane, a world of creativity personified, art, music, dance, and wonderful experiences all intertwined. It is a world I so enjoy and crave, Your performance was incredible. It was an honor to be there."
--Simone Mager, witness
